Road trip to Letchworth State Park NY for 3 Nights




Driving from home to Letchworth State Park to reprise a 2001 trip there. This time we reserved a room at the Glen Iris Inn instead of camping in a tent, thinking perhaps the old bones might appreciate an upgrade, and economy not as much of an issue now. We reserved for 4 nights, thinking that we might have to take advantage of a solid roof overhead to stay dry on at least one of the days. Actually had excellent weather, so saw what we wanted and came home a day early, just ahead of a nor-easter due to hit NJ.

Glen Iris Inn room was small - no space for a chair - but the library on the same floor was nice and had plenty of seating. The restaurant in the hotel was expensive, but we had excellent food just outside the park at the Parkside Diner , with reasonable prices.
