On the third day we hiked to a different campsite, out of Death Hollow.

Along the way we stopped at another impressive lunch spot.

Campsite on the third night. This picture obtained at great cost, as the photographer was standing in on an ant hill while adjusting the camera for the best picture. Please show proper appreciation.

The campsite featured a handy cave to use as a kitchen. Here Suzanne proudly displays a gourmet salad prepared by "chef Dave" in the background.

We were introduced to a number of interesting skills on the trip: lizard roping, foraging for food in the wild, rope making, archeology, etc. Here a group of artists are hard at work molding a soft sandstone into interesting shapes.

We visited a village site, identifiable now only by the leveled spots where dwellings once stood, shards of broken pottery, and pieces of worked stone scattered about.

We passed by a granary high on the canyon wall.

The canyon opened up on the last day.

All good things come to an end. Here the llamas are being unloaded at the end of day 4 of what was one of our most interesting vacation trips. Highly recommended.
