After Mackinac Island, we headed into the upper peninsula, hoping to camp a few nights. Unfortunately, the place we headed for was deserted, except for some very hungry mosquitoes, so we ended up driving to Tahquamenon Falls State Park, walking around a little, having lunch, then heading back south.

Overcast sky, lots of dirty looking water.

The upper falls.

Typical view from one of the many little parks along the southern shore of the upper peninsula as we drove back to Mackinac Bridge.
