While the NAWBO side "met", Rod was on his own. He used the time to (naturally) stock up on SF books, visit a friend living in Dallas he hadn't seen since the 60's, and make one trip to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Since neither the Plano Barnes & Noble nor Rod and Cort scarfing up BBQ make for much of a photo op, here are some pictures of the garden.

Note that there is much more to see at the Botanic Garden, including a formal Japanese Garden and an indoor Conservatory with lots of interesting tropical plants. There were also a number of work crews cutting up, down, or trimming many of the larger trees which were damaged by a big storm the first night we were in town.
